Lourdes

The little town  Lourdes has becomed in this years the capital of world pilgrimages tourism. In her Cathedral a lot of believers will meet to pray and visit the sacred places with the hope to breathe God and Virgin Mary  presence as succeeded at the end of 19th centhury to a local little girl or to be part of a new miracle or appearance. Almost 5 millions of pilgrims visit Lourdes each year and 100.000 are the volunteers that help sick and disabled peoples during their stay. All the area is located on 52 ha with various buildings for the pilgrims. The appearance happened on February 11 of 1858, and the cathedral was builted  on the stone where water gushed out. Today two Cathedrals ,the old's one called Superior and the new one's welcome millions of pilgrims. An Official Institute for Miracles has been created to collect documentation and establish the truth for all the cases of healing and give communication to the competent ecclestastical communities.
